Installation steps for lining bricks:

1. Preparation work for ball mill: Any bricks or cement residues, welding slag, rust, and oil stains on the inner surface of the ball mill should be removed thoroughly, and the smooth surface should be roughened to improve the bonding effect.

2. Brick installation starts from the end face of the ball mill, and all end faces are installed with straight bricks and straight half bricks. The working surface of all lining bricks should face towards the inside of the ball mill. The installation position should be securely fastened, with the upper layer of bricks overlapping and tightly pressed against the joint of the lower two bricks. The upper and lower rows of bricks should be installed in a staggered manner. After installing a few lining bricks, gently tap them with a rubber or wooden hammer to evenly spread the adhesive between the bricks and between the bricks and the cylinder wall, ensuring bonding quality. Strictly control the gap between the bricks to be less than 1.5mm.

3. After installing both ends, start installing the cylinder. Calculate the number of rows of straight and diagonal bricks according to the amount of lining bricks used in the cylinder. Install them alternately in proportion to the number of straight and diagonal rows calculated in the second step to ensure that the bottom of the lining bricks is tightly attached to the inner wall of the cylinder. The inner diameter of the lining bricks after installation should be smoothly connected, and each row should use straight or diagonal bricks of the same specification along the length direction. Use half bricks at the end to adjust the brick joints and keep the joints of each adjacent row of bricks staggered, If straight bricks cannot enter the last row, install thin bricks and seal the gaps with cement.

Notes:

If adhesive is used for bonding, the temperature between the ball mill and the environment should not be too low. The temperature should be above 20 degrees Celsius as much as possible to ensure the fluidity of the adhesive and maximize its effectiveness.

2. It is strictly prohibited to add only a small amount of ball stones and water during grinding, allowing the mill to operate for a long time, as it will seriously damage the mill, lining bricks, and ball stones.

3. The ball mill should be installed on site as much as possible, avoiding installation at the ball mill manufacturer as much as possible, to prevent collisions with the ball mill during lifting and transportation, which may cause the lining bricks at the collision site to fall off.
